We also made the decision to not give the killer a name - he will simply be referred to as 'the killer' in production, post production, promotion, credits etc. This technique was used within the film Drive and successfully kept an air of mystery about the central character. Whilst the audience will have an sense of omniscient narration throughout when having knowledge of his killings and whereabouts, this vital piece of information will be kept from them.

Casting for my film
When casting for our film we knew that it was very important to choose people who would suit their characters and not just because they were easy to get hold of. When casting the female characters we had to ensure that they all had brunette hair and that they would fit a pattern to really set the storyline in concrete. When casting the main character of the killer we had to cast someone who could act professionally and be convincing within the role as they would make or break the opening sequence.
