My name is Danielle White. I am currently taking AS Level Media Studies along with Art, Sociology and Philosophy. I took Media Studies at GCSE and got a grade A overall, during our Media Studies course at GCSE we studied DVD covers by analysing two and then creating our own based on the theme ‘imagine’. We then looked at the music industry in which I created a promotional flyer and a storyboard for a music video for the band Missing Andy and our final piece of coursework was to create a print magazine. I was most proud of my print magazine because I put lots of effort into it and ensured that it had my personal stamp on it.
Our exam last year was based on video gaming and I enjoyed having the variation from print publications, I am looking forward to being able to develop my understanding of film making and seeing what else media has to offer. I am not completely sure what I want to do in the future but at the moment I am leaning towards Illustration however I would like to find out what routes Media Studies could take me down in the future.
